What is Chinese Medicine?

Chinese Medicine is a health care system that focuses on addressing the root and restoring balance to the inner ecosystem of our bodies. Prevention and health maintenance are the gold standard.

The diagnostic process uses techniques and skills which may at first feel unfamiliar. A visual inspection of the tongue, detailed reading of the radial wrist pulse and inspection and palpation of the abdomen are examples of diagnostic arts in Chinese Medicine which give me insight towards many aspects of your physiology. A wide array of questions asked may also be a completely new experience for you. That being said, rest assured that each question asked and each diagnostic step performed is to obtain valuable information that will help determine the ideal therapeutic approach for you as a unique individual.

There are various treatment modalities that are recognized within Chinese Medicine including Acupuncture, Herbal Medicinals, Cupping and Moxibustion, Tuina Massage, Chinese Nutrition strategies and other lifestyle practices such as Qi Gong or Nei Gong (inner cultivation).

People often report an immediate reduction in stress, pain, and dis-ease. Other common side effects may include an increase in vitality, improved functional daily living and a greater sense of well-being mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
